Born in Sydney Australia, mezzo-soprano Heather Lupton is a highly versatile musician who has received acclaim for her operatic roles. She is also an experienced oratorio and concert singer having performed throughout the United Kingdom. She recently relocated to Berlin which she now calls home.
An accomplished classical and jazz pianist she also has a first class honours degree in music composition from the University of Western Sydney, however a late introduction to singing brought about a a change in direction and she decided to move to the United Kingdom to complete postgraduate studies in opera and voice at the Royal Northern College of Music.
During her time at college she studied and performed roles such as Hänsel in Hänsel und Gretel, Brademante in Alcina, Madame de Croissy in Dialogues des Carmélites, Maman in L’enfant et les sortilèges, Feodor in Boris Godunov, and Mistress Quickly in Falstaff. Since leaving college she has performed a variety of roles including Carmen and Mercédès in Carmen, Smeton and Giovanna in Anna Bolena, Orfeo in Orfeo ed Euridice, Nicklausse in Les Contes D’Hoffmann, Ulrica in Un ballo in Maschera, Maddalena in Rigoletto and Elisabetta in Maria Stuarda for Opera Seria.
